Humpday Convo

Well, with the election just six long and agonizing days away, I am giving you, my readers a chance to change the state.  We’ve all seen the childish back-and-forth banter between Malloy and Foley.  We’ve all been frustrated with the lack of answers that have come out of these bitchfests debates.  Here is your chance to come up with some solutions.

If you were elected governor of the great state of Connecticut, what would be the first thing you would do to help right the ship?

Mine would be to restore our toll systems.  I’ve blogged about this before, but in a nutshell my plan would be to distribute ez-passes to all registered drivers in the state.  They would then be responsible for funding their own account.  The fee is negotiable, anywhere from $.25 to $1.00 and up to $5.00 for out-of-state drivers.  As a main thru-fare for all of New England this could have huge benefits for us in the state.  We would build fast-stops so drivers would not have to stop, therefore reducing the risk of a reoccurrence to the I-95 disaster a few decades ago.  This would just be the start but I think it is one of the easiest way to get more money coming in.

Your turn.
