Sorry, I’m a bit excited about the season starting tonight.  Gee, I wonder if it has anything to do with the Red Sox being 6 1/2 games out??  This has become an annual tradition.  A post that everyone waits for with bated breath.  Last years were a bit off, but not overly bad.  Here is the 2008 prediction post.  Didn’t realize I wa on such a Chargers love-fest the past two years.  I can guarantee you that will change this year (hint, bet the Chargers and the ultimate Ewing Theory.)

So without further ado:  this years Steel-Clad selections.

AFC NORTH:  Baltimore Ravens 11-5, Cincinnati Bengals 9-7, Pittsburgh Steelers 9-7, Cleveland Browns 4-12.

AFC EAST:  New York Jets 10-6, Miami Dolphins 10-6, New England Patriots 9-7, Buffalo Bills 2-14 (sorry Bills fans, but Jake Locker will look good in a Buffalo uni).

AFC SOUTH:  Indianapolis Colts 13-3 (ho-hum), Houston Texans 11-5, Tennessee Titans 9-7, Jacksonville Jaguars 5-11.

AFC WEST:  Oakland Raiders 8-8, San Diego Chargers 8-8, Denver Broncos 7-9, Kansas City 6-10.

AFC WILDCARDS: Dolphins and Texans

AFC CHAMPIONSHIP: Baltimore over the Jets.

NFC NORTH:  Green Bay Packers 13-3, Minnesota Vikings 9-7, Chicago Bears 7-9, Detroit Lions 5-11.

NFC EAST:  Dallas Cowboys 11-5, New York Giants 10-6 (homer alert!!!!), Washington Redskins 7-9, Philadelphia Eagles 6-10 (giggling).

NFC SOUTH: New Orleans Saints 12-4, Atlanta Falcons 11-5, Carolina Panthers 6-10, Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-12.

NFC WEST:  San Francisco 49ers 9-7, Seattle Seahawks 8-8, Arizona Cardinals 7-9, St. Louis Rams 3-13.

NFC WILDCARDS: Falcons and Giants.

NFC CHAMPIONSHIP: Packers over Falcons.

SUPER BOWL XLV:  Packers over Ravens.

BTW, I love love love the Packers and Falcons this year and I think the Vikings and Patriots are due for a letdown.

Use these picks wisely and remember, if you win any cheddah of these, I get a 20% cut.  One last question for you:

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
